The Ministry of Transportation, Ontario (MTO) is undertaking a multi-year program to rehabilitate 35 structures:
The work will be completed under seven separate Group Work Projects (GWP 3055-08-00, 3060-08-00, 3067-06-00, 3046-09-00, 37-00-00, 3050-08-00, and 3065-08-00). Since several projects are being completed under one design assignment, the project is referred to unofficially as “Mega 2”. Construction will be completed over four years, beginning in the spring of 2011. As shown on the map, the project area includes the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, Region of Waterloo and Counties of Middlesex, Elgin, Lambton, Wellington and Brant. The required rehabilitations are based on the existing condition of the bridges (or culvert). Dillon Consulting Limited was retained by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) to complete the Detailed Design and Class Environmental Assessment (EA) process for the seven design assignments. |
Rehabilitation of Oak Park Road has recently been added to Project 5 (GWP-37-00-00). Please go to the Project 5 page for more information.
